Welcome to

Las Terrenas

North Coast Of
The
Peninsula Of Samaná

In the eighties, Las Terrenas was a small fishing village, surrounded by wide hills and the ocean. This spot opened up to tourism after the arrival of electricity 10 years ago. It is a paradise, a unique place in the Caribbean, the only spot that offers 30 km of virgin beaches, with pure white fine sand surrounded by coconut trees

The wild luxuriant vegetation offers a variety of tropical trees that cannot be found anywhere else. Certain beaches are protected by several coral reefs, forming many small green and blue flat water lagoons. In certain periods of the year, the beaches are bathed by rollers that allow the practice of surfing, kitesurfing and wakeboarding.

The beaches of the Dominican Republic are numerous, and you can navigate in beautiful surroundings and, with a little bit of luck, you will see humpback whales, dolphins, manatees and turtles…

The whales reproduce in the temperate water of the Samana bay between January and March. The instructors who accompany those trips are professionals who know the country and its navigable spots for more than 15 years. The excursions are planned according to the level of the participants (not suggested for beginners).

Portillo

This spot is excellent for beginners, located 5 kilometers away from the town of Las Terrenas and only a few meters away from the kiteschool . Calm and flat water, white sand beach , just like a dream.
